Day 1 Leave Vancouver via Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific.

Day 2 Arrive Hanoi

Transfer to Melia Hanoi Hotel or similar. Water Puppetry show and welcome dinner.

Day 3 Hanoi - Halong Bay (BL)
Half day Hanoi city tour - Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from outside, Ho Chi Minh's residence, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature , and explore Old Quarter during 1-hour cyclo ride. Afternoon transfer to Halong Bay . Overnight at Novotel Halong Bay Hotel or similar.

Day 4 Halong Bay - Hanoi (BLD)

Picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1500 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Enjoy a relaxing 4-hour boat trip through Halong Bay , fresh seafood lunch is prepared and served on board. Back to Hanoi . Dinner enroute and transfer to Hanoi train station. Overnight Victoria train trip to Lao Cai in shared sleeping compartments (sharing 2 lower & 2 upper berths per compartment). Train departs at approx. 21:15.

Day 5 Lao Cai - Coc Ly - Sapa (BLD)

Arrive Lao Cai around 630am and breakfast at local restaurant. Depart for Coc Ly tribal market witch offers the chances to see H'mong and Dzao minority people in their most colorful costumes. Take a boat trip down stream on Chay River with picnic lunch. Enjoy scenic view from the river and trek to visit villages of Dzao and Tay minorities on the way. Disembark and drive back to Sapa. Overnight in Sapa Victoria or similar.

Day 6 Sapa - Ham Rong - Ta Phin - Lao Cai - Hanoi

Short trek to visit its mystic rock formations ( Ham Rong Mountain ), rare orchids and flowers. You might have opportunity to enjoy the minority show performed by the young minority ladies and men, you also have opportunity to overview the whole picture of Sapa town in the clear day as well as visit the so-called "stone forest" here. Trekking back to Sapa. Lunch at local restaurant then a 6-km drive to Ta Phin Village. Lying in a hillside meadow, it is home to Red Dzao and Hmong people. Late afternoon, drive back to Lao Cai train station. Overnight train trip back to Hanoi .

Day 7 Hanoi - Hoi An (BL)
Overnight train arrives and transfers for flight to Danang. Once arrive, transfer to Hoi An. Explore Hoi An Ancient town. A short boat trip across the river brings you to the boat builder's yard and woodcarvers as well as pottery and brick making village, known to early Western merchants, Hoi An was one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16 th century. Hoi An has a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with low, tiled-roof houses and narrow streets; the original structure of some of the these streets is still virtually intact. Many of the houses were constructed of rare timbers and decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters and pillars carved with ornamental designs. During a leisurely discovery tour on foot you will visit some of the historic merchant and community houses. Places of worship and famous bridges. Overnight at Hoi An Riverside Resort or similar.

Day 8 Hoi An(B)

Free time for leisure.

Day 9 Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City - Phan Thiet (BL)
Morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City . Transfer to Phan Thiet after lunch. Overnight at Victoria Phan Thiet or similar.

Day 10 Phan Thiet (BL)

Before sunrise pick up with jeep to drive along streets, slopes and kilometers of sand beach, where you will see sunrise. Pass a beautiful lake with hundreds of lotus flowers and finally reach the desert like landscape at the huge sand dunes of Mui Ne. On the way back, a photo stop at the "red canyon". Afternoon free.

Day 11 Phan Thiet - Ho Chi Minh(B)

Morning free until transfer back to Ho Chi Minh. Overnight at Majestic Saigon Hotel or similar.

Day 12 Ho Chi Minh - Ben Tre - HoChi Minh City (BL)

Coach trip to My Tho. Visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda enroute and stop by the bank of Tien Giang River . Take a boat trip on Mekong River to Phoenix Island , where local handicrafts and sweets from coconut are being produced. Enjoy fresh seasonal fruits and traditional live music and songs performance. Take a short ride on a horse carriage to a typical local house to taste some homemade honey-tea. Proceed by small sampan boats through the small canals and side arms of the river to observe the daily life along the river banks with a stop and short leisurely walk at the Turtle Island . Lunch at local restaurant before drive back to Ho Chi Minh.

Day 13 Ho Chi Minh (BLD)
Full day tour in Ho Chi Minh City including Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, War Museum , China Town, Thien Hau Pagoda, Ben Thanh Market and Cu Chi Tunnel. Farewell dinner on a cruise with welcome cocktail reception and Vietnamese music.

Day 14 Ho Chi Minh(B)
Transfer to airport for flight back to home.
