Day 1-2 Vancouver - Taipei - Hanoi (D)
Fly across the Pacific with China Airlines (via Taipei). Upon arrival in Hanoi, meet and transfer to the hotel. Welcome dinner at local restaurant or at hotel.
Day 3 Hanoi (B)
Full day sightseeing tours including Temple of Literature; One Pillar Pagoda; Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Then head to Hoan Kiem Lake located in heart of Hanoi. Enroute, pass other colonial landmarks such as Opera House and St. Joseph's Cathedral. From the lake, walking to explore the Old Quarter.
Day 4 Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L)
Morning transfer to Hanoi and enjoy 4 hours boat trip including seafood lunch. Overnight in Halong Bay.
Day 5 Halong Bay - Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An (B)
Transfer back to Hanoi Airport for flight to Danang. By vehicle from Danang to Hoi An south pass the Marble Mountains and small villages. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6 Hoi An - Hue (B)
Walking tour includes Japanese Bridge Pagoda; Tran Family Chapel; Phuoc Kien Assembly Hall and Lantern Making Workshop. Drive to Hue crossing the dramatic Hai Van Pass for overnight.
Day 7 Hue (B)
Perfume River cruises to Thien Mu Pagoda, an elegant seven-tiered octagonal tower which has become Hue's most widely recognizable monument. Continue to visit Imperial Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc; Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba Market.
Day 8 Hue - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival visit Cu Chi Tunnels - An important Vietcong base during the American War. Stretching over 200 km, this incredible underground network, dug by hand out of hard laetrile, connected commend posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 9 Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Full day working tour including City Hall and the old Opera House (viewed from the outside); Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Afterwards dive into modern history with a tour of the Reunification Palace, continue to the harrowing War Remnants Museum.
