Day 1: Canada (Vancouver) – Tokyo Narita
Depart Canada to Tokyo with Japan Airlines.
Day 2: Tokyo Narita
Meet & transfer to the hotel.
Day 3: Tokyo (-/-/-)
Half-day city tour including Tokyo Tower Observatory; Imperial Palace Plaza; Asakusa Kannon Temple & Nakamise Shopping Arcade. Tour disbands upon arrival at Akihabara or Tokyo Station. Afternoon free for leisure to explore the city.
Day 4: Tokyo - Kamakura - Tokyo (-/L/-)
Visit Hasedera Temple (by train from Tokyo) and Great Buddha Temple in the morning. After lunch continue sightseeing including Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine; Komachi Shopping Street. Tour disbands upon arrival at Tokyo Station.
Day 5: Tokyo - Nikko - Tokyo (-/L/-)
Visit Nikko Toshogu Shrine by bus. After lunch, drive through Irohazaka and visit Lake Chuzenji and Kegonnotaki Waterfall. Tour will disband upon arrival at Shinjuku or Ginza. Evening free for your leisure.
Day 6: Tokyo – Mt. Fuji – Hakone (-/-/-)
Meet the group at Keio Plaza Hotel then start the full day tour by bus. Visit Fuji Visitor Center and drive to Mt. Fuji 5th station. Afternoon lunch take Hakone Ropeway and visit Owakudani Valley by foot. Pirate Boat ride and back to Hakone for overnight.
Day 7: Hakone – Nagoya (-/L/-)
Transfer from hotel to Odawara Station by bus and train service to Nagoya. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon visit Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology and Nagoya Castle. Overnight in Nagoya.
Day 8: Nagoya – Toba – Ise - Kyoto (-/L/-)
Walk to Kintetsu Nayoga Station and take the train to Kintetsu Ujiyamada Station. Visit Ise Jingu Shrine and Mikimoto Pearl Island by bus. After lunch continue to visit Ama (women diver) Huts. Back to Kyoto for overnight by train.
Day 9: Kyoto – Nara – Kyoto (-/L/-)
Meet at New Miyako Hotel then start visiting Nijo Castle; Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion); Kyoto Imperial Palace. After lunch, visit Todaiji Temple with Great Buddha; Nara Park; Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Nara Nagomikan. Overnight in Kyoto.
Day 10: Kyoto (-/L/-)
Free day in Kyoto for your own leisure.
Day 11: Kyoto – Hiroshima – Kyoto (-/-/-)
Meet at New Miyako Hotel and walk to Kyoto Station for Nozomi train service to Hiroshima. Upon arrival transfer to Miyajimaguchi by bus and visit Miyajima Island / Itkukushima Jinja Shrine by boat. Back to Miyajimaguchi and proceed to Peace Memorial Park. Take Nozomi train back to Kyoto for overnight. (A light overnight bag recommended)
Day 12: Kyoto - Takayama (-/-/-)
Meet at New Miyako Hotel and walk to Kyoto Station for train service to Takayama (via Nagoya). Upon arrival, visit Yatai Kaikan Hall; Kusakabe Folk Museum and Kami Sannomachi Street. Overnight in Takayama. (A light overnight bag recommended)
Day 13: Takayama – Shirakawa-go – Kanazawa (-/-/-)
Full day tour – Morning Market of Takayama. Drive through Miboro to Former Toyama Family Residence and Shirakawa-go / Gassho-Zukuri. Experience of making Japanese paper in Gokayama before check in hotel at Kanazawa for overnight.
Day 14: Kanazawa - Tokyo (-/-/-)
Sightseeing tours including Kenrokuen Garden; Kutaniyaki Pottery Kiln and Higashi-chaya Street and Former Guest House “Shima”. Transfer back to Tokyo by train via Nagoya. Upon arrival in Tokyo, transfer to the hotel by bus.
Day 15: Tokyo - Canada (-)
Free time until departure. Departure time is announced to your hotel on the day before departure. A taxi driver will meet you at your hotel and take you to the airport.
