3 May Canada - Beijing
Depart Vancouver to Beijing via Tokyo with Japan Airlines.

4 May Arrive Beijing (D)
Meet and transfer to Marriott Courtyard Hotel (4-star).

5 May Beijing (B/L/D)
Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven .

6 May Beijing (B/L/SD)
Visit Simatai Great wall, Peking duck dinner.

7 May Beijing - Urumqi (B/L/D)
Transfer to airport and fly to Urumqi . On arrival, drive to Heavenly Lake, cruise the lake and return to Urumqi and check in the Mirage Hotel (4-star).

8 May Urumqi - Turpan (B/L/D)
Drive to Turpan, visit the ruins of Jiaohe, an ancient, prosperous trading centre dating back 1600 years. Visit the ancient Karez (underground water supply and irrigation system) and grape valley. Stay at Huozhou Hotel (4-star).

9 May Turpan - Urumqi - Kashgar. (B/L/D)
Visit the Flaming Mountains and Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Grottos, lunch with a local family. Drive back to Urumqi and fly to Kashgar. Meet and transfer to Kashgar Barony Hotel.

10 May Kashgar - Urumqi (B/L/D)
Visit the Sunday Bazaar, the largest outdoor market in Asia . Later we will visit the Temple and tomb of the Fragrant Concubine and the Old Town of Kashgar. Evening flight to Urumqi and check in the Mirage Hotel (4-star).

11 May Urumqi - Dunhuang (B/L/D)
Fly to Dunhuang. Visit the famous Magao Grottos. This is the most important site of ancient Buddhist Culture, preserving a thousand years of Buddhist cave-temple architecture, clay sculptures and murals. Stay at the Dunhuang Guest House ( VIP Building , 4-star).

12 May Dunhuang (B/L/D)
A two hour drive west across the desert to Yumen Gate (Jade Gate Pass) at the western end of the Great Wall, built in the Han dynasty 2100 years ago. Later in the day we will ride a camel across the desert to Moon Lake and watch the sun set behind the sand dunes.

13 May Dunhuang - Xian (B/L/D)
Fly to Xian, visit the Wild Goose Pagoda, the City wall and the Bell Tower . Evening water fountain/music show at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Plaza. Stay at the Aurum International Hotel (4-star).

14 May Xian (B/L/SD)
Today we will visit the Terracotta Warriors and the Provincial Museum . In the evening we will enjoy a Dumpling Dinner and Tang Dynasty Show.

15 May Xian - Shanghai (B/L/D)
Fly to Shanghai . Afternoon visit to The Bund and Yu Garden. Evening Acrobat show. Stay at the Shanghai Hotel (4-star).

16 May Shanghai (B/L)
Shanghai Museum and People Square . Afternoon free.

17 May Shanghai (B/L/SD)
A short drive to Zhujiajiao, a river town in the Yangtze Delta where the shopping for silk scarves and souvenirs is fantastic. Farewell dinner.

18 May Shanghai - Canada (B)
Transfer to airport for flight back to Vancouver with Japan Airlines.
