Day 01 Depart Home City (Canada) – Taipei    

Depart from Canada to Taipei with China Airlines.

Day 02  Taipei – Hanoi                                                                   

Upon arrival in Hanoi, meet and transfer to the hotel (Hotel check in time – 2PM).  Rest of the day is your free time to explore Hanoi.

Day 03  Hanoi – Halong Bay                                                                       (B/L)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Ho Chi Minh’s former residence and mausoleum (the Mausoleum closed during Oct – Nov), the One Pillar Pagoda & the Temple of Literature.  Enjoy a 1 hour cyclo ride through the Old Quarter past the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple to a local restaurant for lunch before drive to Halong Bay (165 km east of Hanoi) – a UNESCO World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty.  Picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,500 limestone islets rising from the sea and beautiful grottoes.  Check in at the hotel and dinner on your own expense.

Day 04  Halong Bay – Hanoi                                                                       (B/L)

Enjoy a relaxing 4 hours boat trip through Halong Bay with fresh seafood fingertips served on board.  Cruise around the islands, relaxing and swimming before returning to Hanoi.  Evening, enjoy a Water Puppetry Show – a traditional Vietnamese art from dating back to the 11^th century.

Day 05  Hanoi – Danang – Hoi An                                                            (B/-/D)

At leisure until transfer to the airport for flight to Danang.  Upon arrival drive south past famous China Beach onto Hoi An.  Hoi An was one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century.  Take a walking tour & visit 300-year-old Tan Ky and Phuc Kien houses, the Japanese Covered Bridge and Hoi An market.  We soak up the atmosphere of these narrow streets before dinner in a local restaurant to sample some of Hoi An’s culinary delights.

Day 06  Hoi An – Danang – Hue                                                                                (B/L) 

Drive to visit Marble Mountain with lunch at local restaurant and then transfer to Hue, over the most spectacular Hai Van Pass onto Vietnam’s former imperial capital and charming town set on the banks of the Perfume River.  Evening free for leisure.

Day 07 Hue – Ho Chi Minh City                                                                (B/L)

Boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, the Imperial Citadel of Hue and Dong Ba Market.  Lunch at local restaurant and then continue to visit Tu Duc Mausoleum.  Transfer to the airport in the afternoon for flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 08  Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh                     (B/L)

Morning drive to Cu Chi district (75 km from HCMC) and visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. There are more than 200 km of underground.  You have the chance to crawl through this amazing system of tunnels before returning to Saigon for lunch. Afternoon orientation by foot from the Saigon River past the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral and the old Post Office.  Also visit Reunification Palace and finish the tour at the famous Ben Thanh Market.

Day 09  Ho Chi Minh City – Tien Giang – Ben Tre – Can Tho         (B/L)

Morning drive to My Tho – the Heart of Mekong Delta, famous for its vast fields and most beautiful landscapes.  Boat trip to Phoenix Island where local handicrafts and sweets from coconuts are being produced.  Short ride on a horse carriage to a typical local house to taste some homemade honey-tea and enjoy a traditional live music performance.  Proceed by small sampan boat through the small canals and side-arms of the river to observe the daily life along the river banks with a stop and short leisurely walk at the Turtle Island.  Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before driving to Can Tho.

Day 10  Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City                                                        (B/L)

Boat visit to the floating market at Cai Rang and see local farmers trading their produce on the water as they have done for centuries.  Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City with lunch route.

Day 11  Ho Chi Minh City – Taipei  – Canada                                      (B)

Time at leisure (Hotel check out time – 12:00 noon) until transfer to the airport for your homeward flight via Taipei.
