Rajasthan - The Golden Triangle Tour

Day 01     Canada –  Hong Kong
Depart Canada to Delhi via Hong Kong.

Day 02     Hong Kong – Delhi              
Arrive Delhi.  Meet and transfer to Hotel Residence or similar.

Day 03     Delhi                                       (B/L)
Full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Morning visit the Red Fort, the 300 years old walled city built by Emperor Shah Jehan in 1648. Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. Afternoon visit Tomb of Humayun and Qutub Minar. Overnight in Hotel Residence.

Day 04     Delhi – Mandawa                    (B/L)
After breakfast, drive to Mandawa. The town of Mandawa emerges like a mirage. Enjoy a walking tour of Mandawa Village on your own in the afternoon. Overnight at the Mandawa Castle.

Day 05     Mandawa – Bikaner               (B/L)
After breakfast, leave Mandawa to Bikaner. Afternoon visit the Junagarth Fort, one of the finest of Rajput monuments. Overnight at the Hotel Gajkesri.

Day 06     Bikaner – Jaisalmer               (B/L)
After breakfast, leave Bikaner to Jaisalmer en-route visit the Rat Temple (Karni Mata) at Deshnok. Deshnok is a village 30km south of Bikaner along the Jodhpur road. Overnight at the Heritage Inn.

Day 07     Jaisalmer                                (B/L)
Half-day tour of Jaisalmer. Visit the silent 12^th century Fort built by Prince Jaisal and the Palace. A brief stop at Gadhi Sagar is a must – a man made pond at the centre of the Thar Desert. Evening camel ride at sam sand dunes. Overnight at the Heritage Inn.

Day 08     Jaisalmer – Jodhpur               (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to the Jodhpur. Afternoon proceed for city tour of Jodhpur, which sprawls along the top of a steep escarpment. The fort museum has the Maharaja’s private collection of art and artifacts. Stop by and see the well-preserved Hall of Public Audience and the Sheesh Mahal. Overnight at the Ajit Bhawan.

Day 09     Jodhpur – Udaipur                   (B/L)
En-route visit the famous Jain Temple. A deep secluded valley at Ranakpur is the most magnificent Jain temple in India. Overnight at the Royal Retreat.

Day 10     Udaipur                                    (B/L)
Visit the City Palace, which overlook the clear blue water of Lake Pichola. Visit the Sahelion-Ki-bari, the scene of royal parties. Also visit Jagdish temple. Afternoon boat ride on Lake Pichhola. Overnight at the Royal Retreat.

Day 11     Udaipur – Jaipur                      (B/L)
Transfer to Jaipur. A cycle Rickshaw ride will be provided to see the colorful Market area. Overnight at the Hotel Clarks Amer.

Day 12     Jaipur                                       (B/L)
Visit the Amber Fort, the former seat of the Rajput rulers of Jaipur. Afternoon visit Jantar Mantar, the City Palace and Palace of Winds. Overnight at the Hotel Clarks Amer.

Day 13     Jaipur – Agra                           (B/L)
Leave Jaipur to Agra en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri. The architecture at Fatehpur Sikri is a combination of Hindu and Muslim styles, expressing Akbar’s vision of synthesizing the cultures. Overnight at the Hotel Clarks Shiraz.

Day 14     Agra – Delhi - Canada             (B/L)
Morning visit Taj Mahal then Agra Fort. Afternoon drive back to Delhi and transfer to the airport for the departure flight leaving early hours of Day 15.
