Day 01 – Overland Kuala Lumpur - Cameron Highland (220km)

Breakfast. Depart by 0830 hours for Cameron Highland, which is located at 1542 meters above sea level. Famed for its tea plantations and cool temperatures. Our first stop enroute, will be at the Royal Selangor Pewter featuring the largest pewter factory in the world. Discover the heritage and history of the company since its’ founding days in 1885. Lastly, view a demonstration of pewter making processes at the factory, which includes casting, filing, hammering and soldering.
Stop at Batu Caves, the famous temple cave, accessible by walking up 272 steps, which houses the shrine to Lord Muruga, a Hindu deity, while the museum cave host paintings and murals depicting scenes from Hindu scriptures. Try the famous Malaysian local “tea tarik”- literally means pulled-tea or tea with condensed milk at any of the food stall at the famous Batu Cave.
Along the way up into the mountain, we’ll also visit the basket weaving cottage industry, Lata Iskandar Waterfall and a native settlement. You’ll enjoy the cool, crisp air of Cameron Highlands beside its wonderful scenery. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02 – In Cameron Highlands

After breakfast, depart for an exploratory tour of Cameron Highlands, used as a highland retreat station for the British during the colonial days. Proceed by 4-wheel drive to Gunung or Mount Brinchang, the highest and most accessible peak (6,666ft.) in Cameron Highlands. Experience a cloudy tropical & mossy rainforest before cruising down the hill to view the most scenic tea plantation, the Sungei Palas Boh estate that is regarded as the largest and best known tea station in the region. Take a tea break after the brief guided tour of the factory. After the refreshing tea break, our next visit will be the flower and vegetable farming. From the farm, we will proceed to visit the villages of our highlands natives – the Semais. Explore the forests of the highlands. This short trek will lead us to the small waterfall where we can have a break for lunch. The return journey will take us to a day market where most of the local produce can be found.
Note: Tea factory operation is closed on Monday. Tea break at the tea factory is not inclusive in tour price

Day 03 – Overland Cameron Highland – Kota Bharu (300km)

Breakfast. 0700hrs - Depart Cameron Highland eastward towards Kota Bharu on the eastern coastal flank of the Peninsular via the town of Gua Musang. Kota Bharu is the cultural centre of the East Coast and not to be missed by visitors in experiencing its unique heritage and cultures. On arrival, visit the Merdeka Square, the site of many historical events. It is also known as Padang Bank. Thereafter, proceed to the famous colorful wet market of Kota Bharu, where majority of the traders are women. Then visit the Istana Jahar Museum. Built in 1887, it features Kelantan's cultural heritage. Proceed to the silver handicraft cottage industry to see how fine Kelantan silver wares are handmade.
Overnight in a typical village chalet (Air-conditioned, attached toilet, hot water).

Note: There are very limited chalets in this village and is therefore subject to availability. An alternative arrangement will be made to stay in another hotel if village’s chalets are unavailable.
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner will be at the hotel that you are staying in.

Day 04 – In Kota Bharu

After breakfast, go on a full day village’s experience. Enjoy the relaxed, laid-back lifestyle of Kelantan. See monkey plucking coconut. Learn the art of batik making, a very intricate artistic and interesting skill to learn. You will be also introduced to the secret of a Malay recipes and art of cooking. Lunch local style. Try to eat with your hand, the locals will be happy to show you how. Thereafter learn the art of kite making which is traditionally popular in Malaysia in particular on the east coast of Malaysia. Go on bicycle around the village (without guide but with written direction). Feel relax moving around the village getting to know the locals and mingling with them. Dinner at the village. Overnight in a typical village chalet (Air-conditioned, attached toilet, hot water).

Day 05 – Overland Kota Bharu – Belum Rainforest Resort & Tour of Belum Valley: By boat and soft trek

Breakfast. In the early morning, depart Kota Bharu for Temenggor Lake in the Belum Valley. Further on, stop at the highest mountain point on this route that is 1050meters above sea level overlooking Thailand- Malaysian border. From here you will have a breathtaking view of the famous Titiwangsa’s mountain range with its dense tropical rainforest. Belum valley is an area bristling with fauna and flora, a rich national heritage. This last frontier of Peninsular Malaysia beckons the adventurous to its everlasting charm.
On arrival, we will depart on a boat cruise for a tour of the Belum Valley. Observe and mingle with the ‘Orang Asli’, which literally means ‘the original people’. These are of the Jahai group, one of the aboriginal’s ethnic groups of peninsular Malaysia. We will have the opportunity to trek in the jungle and with some luck, to see the ‘Rafflesia’ - the world’s largest flower, in the wilderness. Visit the waterfall and have fun swimming in its cool refreshing water deep in the 130 million years old jungle. You will also enjoy the boat ride on the vast Temenggor Lake, cruising through scenic nature’s backdrops. In other words, just relax and enjoy the ever-soothing nature’s influence on you. It is indeed a place that will bring you an everlasting memory of nature’s greatness and its tropical blessing. Tour is inclusive of packed lunch.
Overnight at the Belum Rainforest Resort/Room: ROH. Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch and Dinner

Day 06 – Overland Belum Rainforest Resort – Penang (180km)

Breakfast. 0830hrs – Depart Temenggor Lake towards Penang. On arrival in Penang proceed with a City, Culture and Heritage tour of Georgetown, which has been official declared as a UNESCO SITE in 2008. Visit Kek Lok Si Temple that was built in 1904. It is the most beautiful and largest Buddhist temple complex in South East Asia and is known as the Temple of the 1000 Buddhas. Thereafter proceed to Fort Cornwallis, the landing site of Captain Francis Light in 1786 when he arrived to start the first British colony in Penang. The tour carries on with a visit to the water village of the Clan Jetties at Weld Quay, so named as residents of each jetty share similar surname. We next take you along Pitt Street, also known as “The Street of Harmony”. Here churches, Chinese temples, mosques and Hindu temples are built along the same street in harmonious existence side by side for centuries. Visit the intricate Khoo Kong Si clan’s house. Enjoy a breezy trishaw ride, a still popular mode of transport in Georgetown
